A Love Story That Began in Cabo

Some love stories are written by destiny — and Adelina and Warren’s began right here, in the heart of Cabo San Lucas. Warren, a Canadian of Indian descent, was traveling through Mexico when he met Adelina, a warm and vibrant Mexican local. From the very first moment, there was an undeniable connection.

Although both were hesitant about starting a long-distance relationship, their bond only grew stronger with time. After months of visits and countless video calls, they decided to take the leap: Adelina would move to Canada, but they would return to Los Cabos — the place where they first met — to say “I do.”

For them, Cabo wasn’t just a beautiful destination; it was the beginning of their love story. Celebrating their marriage where it all started felt both symbolic and deeply personal.

The Celebration Begins: A Weekend to Remember

The three-day celebration kicked off with a welcome party that set the tone for the weekend. Hosted in a cozy local café, guests enjoyed live music, an open bar, and Mexican bites while close friends gave heartfelt speeches. It was relaxed and joyful — the perfect way to welcome guests to paradise and save the formal toasts for later.

A Classic Catholic Wedding in Cabo San Lucas

The wedding day began with the couple’s getting ready sessions, filled with excitement and emotion. Adelina’s bridal look by Raymundo Guillins was soft, timeless, and romantic — her lace gown and delicate makeup perfectly captured her elegance. Warren, surrounded by his groomsmen, prepared for the day with calm confidence.

The bridesmaids wore flowing gowns in shades of lilac, while the groomsmen complemented them in beige suits — a palette that mirrored the natural tones of the Baja desert and sea.

Guests were transported to the historic Parroquia of Cabo San Lucas for the Catholic ceremony. Both families were present, their energy warm and emotional. The ceremony incorporated all traditional Catholic elements — the lasso, the exchange of rings, and blessings from the priest.

A particularly touching moment came when Warren’s sister-in-law sang the sacred hymns, filling the church with a spiritual harmony that brought everyone to tears. Blending both families’ traditions created a ceremony that celebrated unity, love, and faith.

When the priest finally pronounced them husband and wife, the entire church erupted in joy. The couple stepped out into the sunlit atrium, where family and friends gathered for a group photo before they departed for portraits.

Sunset Portraits at Pedregal Beach

After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their wedding party headed to Pedregal Beach for a portrait session with Bernardo Martínez Photography. The golden light of the Baja sunset illuminated the moment perfectly — from candid laughter and playful poses to romantic, cinematic captures.

An Elegant Terrace Reception Overlooking the Sea of Cortez

Meanwhile, guests arrived at Puerta Vieja, one of the most iconic venues in Cabo San Lucas, where the terrace offers panoramic views of the Arch and the Sea of Cortez.

The reception décor was a balance of romantic classic and modern Mexican style. Florals by Baja Flowers featured soft ivory roses, touches of baby’s breath, and subtle hints of lilac and blush pink, arranged in a messy romantic aesthetic that created a natural, effortless charm.

Five long rectangular tables were styled to seat 14 guests each. Runners in soft pastel tones anchored the design, while clusters of candles, votives, and jar-style floral centerpieces created a warm, inviting glow. Elegant charger plates were paired with neatly folded napkins and custom menus, each seat personalized with a handwritten place card.

A Night of Heartfelt Moments and Endless Dancing

As guests enjoyed handcrafted appetizers and ocean views during cocktail hour, the couple returned from their photos, ready for their grand entrance. The newlyweds shared their first dance surrounded by family and friends, followed by emotional parent dances that honored both cultures.

Dinner was a three-course fine dining experience served by Puerta Vieja’s culinary team. Speeches from loved ones brought laughter and tears, and soon after, the dance floor opened under a canopy of bistro lights and Mexican-style chandeliers.

The DJ mixed modern pop and romantic ballads with upbeat Hindi tracks and Mexican classics — a set that kept both families on the floor until late into the evening. The cake cutting and bouquet toss had everyone cheering, and late-night snacks kept the celebration going to the end.

A Sentimental Keepsake

The couple’s guest book was one of the most personal details of the evening — a glass frame filled with wooden hearts inscribed with handwritten wishes from guests. It now hangs in their home, a daily reminder of the love shared that day.

Farewell Brunch by the Sea

To close their Cabo experience, Adelina and Warren hosted a farewell brunch at Playa Santa María. The laid-back gathering featured authentic Mexican food, snorkeling, and plenty of laughter — a beautiful way to end a weekend that no one wanted to say goodbye to.
